On the occasion of a padel-related event, Nelson Dida spoke to Sky Sport. The former goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach of AC Milan shared his thoughts on the end of the season, with particular attention to the dramatic situation within the Rossoneri camp.
Below are Dida’s words:
“It’s been a beautiful league, and this ending is wonderful for all the fans and football enthusiasts. Napoli and Inter are two great teams, let’s see what happens… You can’t make predictions because both are strong. Everything will be decided in the final match.”
On Milan’s season:
“I wouldn’t say it was a negative season, because no one steps onto the pitch to do badly. I feel sorry for Milan, I’ve always been close to them and I hope that next year they can aim to win again.”
On the Serie A goalkeepers, Dida said:
“Sommer is doing really well, even in the Champions League. He’s strong and has been performing at a high level, as we’ve seen in recent years.”
On ex Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and the possibility of competing for a Ballon d’Or and winning it:
“He’s also a great goalkeeper, he’s a friend and I even spoke to him recently. It’s going to be a beautiful (Champions Leauge) final. If he makes a lot of saves in this final…”
