While AC Milan remain without a sporting director they risk losing ground on some transfer targets, including two central defenders.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are an open construction site where work is progressing at a slow pace, so slow that the main targets for the defensive department are in danger of heading to other clubs.
Change in centre-back targets?
For example, RB Leipzig have set their sights on Cristhian Mosquera of Valencia. The German club are ready to satisfy Valencia’s demands and the Spaniard has already given the ok for the transfer in what would be an operation worth €20m.
The negotiation between Valencia and RB Leipzig is already well underway, which will not please Geoffrey Moncada. The director had been working on the 20-year-old for months and he had become the number one objective.
Another name that Milan have been working hard on in recent days is that of Giovanni Leoni from Parma. The teenager is so popular with the Rossoneri that they want to try to anticipate the competition from Juventus.
The 18-year-old came through the youth academy at Padova and went to Parma in 2024 from Sampdoria after their relegation to Serie B. Milan want to win the race for a player who is performing in Serie A despite being so young.
