Sky Sport Italia and various other outlets report that negotiations between Man City and Milan for Netherlands international Tijjani Reijnders are now at an advanced stage. Pep Guardiola’s side are reportedly pushing to have the Rossoneri midfielder on board in time for the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off in mid-June. Recent reports claim that Milan value Reijnders in the region of €70m.

Reports from Sky Sport DE on Friday evening claim that Bayern Munich have been in contact with super-agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential deal for Milan star Rafael Leao. The Bundesliga are actively seeking a new ‘star’ left-winger, and had been keen on a deal for Germany international Florian Wirtz, who has expressed a preference in joining Liverpool, according to Friday’s updates. That leaves Bayern looking at alternative options, including Leao and Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma.

Reports from Sky Sport DE claim that Arsenal are the latest among a growing list of European clubs interested in a potential deal for Atalanta forward and Nigeria international Ademola Lookman. While the Gunners are also looking at a potential deal for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, the former Everton, Fulham and Leicester City forward is also an option. Atalanta will reportedly entertain offers above €40m for the reigning African Player of the Year.

Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas has revealed that Manchester City had made an approach to sign him at the beginning of the 2024-25 season. “If a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes along, it’s right to consider it carefully,” the Greece international told Il Tempo in an interview published on Friday. The 23-year-old joined Lazio for a fee of just €1.3m in 2023, and has recently signed a new contract extension until the summer of 2029.

Friday’s reports also claim that Milan finally have a new sporting director in place. Former Lazio executive Igli Tare has reportedly signed his contracts to take charge in San Siro, and an announcement is expected to arrive at some stage over the next week.
