Igli Tare will soon be announced as the new sporting director of AC Milan and according to a report, he has already identified a coach that he wants at the club, namely Max Allegri.
Allegri was the manager of Milan between 2010 and 2014, winning one Scudetto and one Supercoppa Italiana in that period. After that, he enjoyed great success with Juventus and has certainly proven himself as a winner in Italian football.
According to Daniele Longo, Igli Tare (Milan’s soon-to-be new sporting director) is keen on bringing Allegri back to the Rossoneri for next season. However, Napoli are currently ahead in the race and that means Tare must recover a lot of time, as the journalist puts it.
Napoli will likely part ways with Antonio Conte despite winning the Scudetto yesterday, as the manager hasn’t been too happy with the club’s actions throughout the course of the season. Indeed, president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed last night that he can’t force the manager to stay.
Perhaps Milan will take a second look at Conte as well if he does end up leaving Napoli, but a return to Juventus appears to be more likely for the 55-year-old as things stand. Not to mention that the Rossoneri snubbed him last year, which perhaps has left a mark.
