AC Milan are expected to make some major changes to the squad ahead of next season, and according to a report, eleven players already have their bags packed.
It has been a disappointing season from start to finish for Milan, likely to finish 9th in the league standings. The Coppa Italia final against Bologna was also lost, while the Supercoppa Italiana win was more of a fluke than anything. And now, without European football, changes are needed.
Igli Tare will soon be announced as the new sporting director, as reported by Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, and there will be a lot for the Albanian to do. Milan will wear their new home shirt tonight but as the journalist writes, eleven players could wear it just the one time.
In total, eleven players already have their ‘bags packed’ as per Longo: Joao Felix, Kyle Walker, Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw, Yunus Musah, Emerson Royal, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Samuel Chukwueze, Riccardo Sottil, Alessandro Florenzi and Filippo Terracciano.
Meanwhile, Tare will have to deal with the limbo state of Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders as soon as he arrives at Casa Milan. The Dutchman has attracted the interest of Manchester City, who are very keen on closing a deal quickly.
