Once again, AC Milan will head into this summer hoping to land Samuele Ricci, and it could be possible this time.
Milan, for the past few windows, have been regularly linked with signing Ricci to bolster their midfield, and it seems like it could finally happen this summer. The Italian is a star at Torino and, respectfully, is ready for the next step in his career.
A midfield of Reijnders, Fofana and Ricci would be immense for any manager to work with, permitting the former stays with the Rossoneri. However, his departure could also aid a move for the latter, which has been reported recently.
Today, Urbano Cairo spoke about the need to sell players this summer, and Ricci was name-dropped, as Milan News relays from his discussion with Rai Radio 1.
“Let’s not talk about the market. In the next transfer market, one or two players will be sold. Everyone sells them, even Inter or Atalanta or Bologna, what matters is having a high-level scouting to replace those you sell.”
It is certainly different for Cairo to admit that sales are needed, rather than being quite defensive about the situation. Hopefully, this will bode well for Milan.
