Arsenal are reportedly planning to submit a formal proposal to sign Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane, as per transfer journalist Graeme Bailey.
Having enjoyed a successful few years with Manchester City, the German decided to return to his homeland, and the Bavarian club hired him back in 2020.

He has also enjoyed a stellar time at the Allianz Arena, winning multiple league titles and a few other major cup competitions. However, speculation surrounding his future has been emerging ahead of the summer window as his existing deal will expire at the end of next month.
On TBR Football, Bailey says that the 29-year-old is set to leave Bayern Munich for free, although they have offered him a new contract proposal to stay.
Arsenal’s new sporting director, Andrea Berta, is keen on signing a new winger, and they have identified Sane as a serious option. Mikel Arteta previously spent time with the forward during their time together at Man City, so they know each other very well.
The North London club are set to hand him a new contract proposal to persuade him to join. Other clubs are also interested in him and have already submitted formal contract offers. Therefore, Arteta’s side are seemingly behind in this race at the moment but are prepared to step up their efforts.
Sane is a versatile forward as he is comfortable on either flank. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, and has an eye for scoring goals from distance.
The forward was an explosive winger, but following his serious knee issue, he has lost his explosiveness a bit. Still, he is a highly talented player and can cause defenders trouble with his trickery.
Arsenal reportedly want a new left winger as Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have had an inconsistent campaign this season.
Sane is a serial winner and is an experienced forward, plus considering a player of his qualities is set to be available for free, it would be a great piece of business should the Emirates club eventually manage to secure his service in the upcoming transfer window.
