It was announced on Friday afternoon that Allegri is the new coach of Milan. He returns 11 years after his first tenure with the Rossoneri ended, and he faces the big task of leading a resurgence following a dire 2024-25 season.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), it is likely that Allegri will bring forward the ‘raduno’, which is the start of preseason preparations. It is now expected that the team will reconvene at the training complex on Friday 4 July.
The final decision will be made this week, but the coach wants to make the most of the days of work at Milanello before leaving (on July 19) for the tour in Asia and Australia.
Even if he won’t have the internationals (who will have a few more days off), he will be able to start instilling his concepts to the rest of the squad.
The season just archived ended with Sergio Conceiçao’s three-man defence, but the former Juventus coach should start again with the four-man defence, according to a recent report from Sky.
