Mn: Reijnders ‘said goodbye to his teammates…see more

Carlo Pellegatti believes that Tijjani Reijnders has already said goodbye to his AC Milan team-mates ahead of a potential move to Manchester City.

Reijnders was named as the best midfielder in Serie A for 2024-25 by the Lega, and received an award on the field before the 2-0 win over Monza. After the game, he took his son Xavien onto the field, and many perceived his actions to be a goodbye.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Pellegatti gave a brief but worrying update regarding Reijnders after the 2024-25 season came to a close. MilanNews24 relayed his comments.

“I heard that Reijnders said goodbye to his teammates. Of course, you can also say goodbye to wish them a good holiday, but the general impression… he said goodbye to everyone at Milanello, he said goodbye to his teammates… it didn’t seem like the greeting of a player going on holiday.”

Corriere dello Sport reported yesterday that Reijnders had booked a vacation to Ibiza with his family to relax and recover after a demanding season physically and psychologically.

However, he has cancelled his holiday – per their report – amid the news that Pep Guardiola wants him for the Club World Cup, amid rumours of a €70m offer incoming from Manchester City.
