Several major sources reported late on Monday that Milan have accepted a bid from Al-Hilal for Theo Hernandez worth €35m in total. While waiting for the player to give the green light, Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso has apparently been earmarked as a potential replacement.
According to the latest from CaughtOffside, there is another name on Milan’s radar and he is one of the Premier League’s ‘most dynamic full-backs’. Manchester United, Chelsea, Milan and Spurs are all after Brighton left-back Pervis Estupinan.
The Seagulls are open to offers for the Ecuador international but they have set a high initial asking price of €40–45m, given that Estupinan is still under contract until 2027 and there are a number of clubs keen
Chelsea and Tottenham are ‘believed to be particularly enthusiastic about the move’ for the 27-year-old. Brighton remain ‘open-minded but firm’ on their valuation for a player who amassed one goal and one assist in 30 league appearances last season.
We actually revealed exclusively last March that Estupinan was one of the names that Milan’s scouts were watching, aware of the fact that a contract crossroads with Theo Hernandez was on the horizon in the not too distant future.
Indeed, Theo last renewed his contract with Milan at the start of 2022, and his current deal has just over 12 months left to run.
