AC Milan, it seems, will again head into a summer window attempting to fix their issues at right-back, with a new target emerging.
It has been a common theme for Milan to need a right-back in recent years. However, after two failed attempts in the past two summers, there is a need to get it right now, even if Alex Jimenez is proving to be a good option.
Last summer, it was Emerson Royal, and in January, it was Kyle Walker. Both failed to hit the ground running massively and leave the Rossoneri needing a new addition, more so with the Englishman heading back to Manchester City.
So, a new idea has emerged. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), the Diavolo are considering a move for Dodo, the Brazilian full-back who plays for Fiorentina. In recent years, he has impressed, and La Viola are currently attempting to extend his deal past the 2027 expiry.
However, they have reached an ‘impasse’, opening up the idea of an exit, perhaps as early as this summer. Milan, as the report expands on, have been fans for a while now, and could make a move for him, whilst Hansi Flick’s Barcelona are also taking note.
