Matteo Moretto has poured cold water on the Adrien Rabiot to AC Milan rumours, while offering an update on the Tijjani Reijnders situation.
Having been linked with a move for Rabiot last summer, the rumours have reignited again following the return of Massimiliano Allegri as the head coach, someone he knows very well from their time together at Juventus.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Frenchman revealed that he still speaks often with Allegri, and with the Rossoneri potentially in need of multiple midfielders it could be the perfect timing.
Moretto was a guest on Fabrizio Romano’s Italian YouTube channel and he gave a short update on what is happening at Milan, more specifically with the midfield. His comments were transcribed by MilanNews.
“Adrien Rabiot, Marseille midfielder, has been linked to Milan in the last few hours. With the utmost respect for colleagues and without disrespect to anyone, what we understand is that Milan are not considering the signing of Adrien Rabiot. They are looking for a different profile.
“Milan is certainly still waiting for Manchester City’s offer to unblock the sale of Reijnders, in the sense that Milan know that City wants Reijnders and want to relaunch. We are still waiting to understand when this relaunch will take place, expected in the next few hours or days.”
