Recent reports suggest that Roma legend Daniele De Rossi could be one of the beneficiaries of Simone Inzaghi’s recent departure from Inter, as an opportunity could open up for him at Como.
Inter have confirmed that Inzaghi has left his position as head coach by mutual consent, four years to the day since his original appointment.
He leaves three days on from the 5-0 hammering by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, and is now expected to take charge of Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Reports from various outlets in Italy confirm that Inter have already opened talks with Como in an attempt to secure a deal for Cesc Fabregas as a replacement for Inzaghi.
If that move goes through, then Como will also be on the lookout for a new head coach to lead the team into the 2025-26 season.
According to reports from Football Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, De Rossi is among the candidates to replace Fabregas at Como if he leaves for Inter this summer.
De Rossi has been out of work since being dismissed from his role as head coach of Roma four games into the 2024-25 season.
