AC Milan have offered Alessandro Florenzi a deal, but not one that would see him extend his playing career.
Florenzi is one of the players who could say goodbye to Milan this summer, especially since his contract will expire at the end of the month. However, given his experience, there is also the possibility that he could remain as part of the ‘new era’.
For the rebirth of the Rossoneri to begin, it is therefore essential to start again with those who only have Milan in their minds and from those who really want to stay, something which Florenzi spoke about after the final game of the season.
The DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando published the following update: “Alessandro Florenzi is evaluating his future. Proposals to continue playing, but not only. Milan have proposed a managerial role but not a renewal as a player.”
The 34-year-old full-back has had a very difficult time in recent years with several injuries forcing him to spend long spells on the sidelines. Thus, it seems logical that Milan may look for other solutions at right-back, but they evidently value what Florenzi can offer in terms of setting standards in the dressing room.
