Igli Tare will meet with the AC Milan leadership next week to try and obtain some extra budget to reinforce two positions, a report claims.
Having completed some important transfers, above all that of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City, Milan have made over €90m that will be reinvested to strengthen and complete Massimiliano Allegri’s squad for next season.
The intention is to makes moves to bolster every department from defence to attack, which is why the proceeds from the sales done so far may not be enough for Tare to carry out the work he wants to do.
According to what is being reported by Sportitalia (via MilanNews), a meeting between the sporting director and the owners is also planned for the middle of next week to obtain an extra budget.
The reason for this above all is that the Albanian director’s intention is to invest larger sums in two roles in particular: centre-forward (Dusan Vlahovic the target, above all) and central defender.
Given that Milan’s financial situation looks a bit bleaker for 2025-26 without European football, it remains to be seen if those at the top of the club will sanction a higher net spend than has already been permitted.
