AC Milan have been keeping tabs on Victor Osimhen this summer, and there is a big reason why this was the case.
There have been a number of rumours about Serie A stars this summer, but the big value players are still Osimhen and Rafael Leao, and it seems that a move for the latter could have made Milan consider a deal for the former.
In the past few weeks, there have been a few whispers about interest in Leao, which the Rossoneri are still attempting to shut down. Nevertheless, Bayern Munich have done the most to make the club scared, so to speak, and today, it has been revealed that hypotheses were made in the case he did, or even does, leave Milano.
As Calciomercato.com write, should Leao depart, a route which has gone cold recently with the Rossoneri holding firm on their valuation of €100m, then there would immediately be plans to go towards Osimhen.
The club, and more specifically Massimiliano Allegri, desires a top striker, and the Nigerian would tick all of the boxes. Considering he recently turned down contract offers from Saudi Arabia, though, you would have to question the financial capabilities of the Diavolo.
