“Milan’s sights set on midfield: Xhaka and Jashari on the notepad”
This is the headline featured this morning by Quotidiano Sportivo regarding the Rossoneri’s transfer moves to strengthen the midfield after the sale of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City. Specifically, the Rossoneri have set their sights on two Swiss players, namely Granit Xhaka of Bayer Leverkusen and Ardon Jashari of Club Brugge.
As for the former, a few days ago he made some statements from his national team’s training camp, in which he left the door open to a departure from the German club in the summer:
“I feel good in Germany, but I already experienced a similar revolution at Arsenal in 2019: back then I was young, today I don’t know if I have the same energy to endure it. We’ve lost key players. The club has capable executives and hopefully they can keep the team at a high level, with or without me. There are leagues where I haven’t played yet and of course, I think about it. I’m not saying that I will definitely move, right now I have other things on my mind and that’s something my agent and my family might think about instead.”
