Between Atletico Madrid’s interest and the expiring contract, Hernandez’s adventure at Milan seems to be over. He has enjoyed many good seasons with the Rossoneri but the 2024-25 campaign, it must be said, was far below his standards. And now, a replacement must be found.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (see photo below), Zinchenko has been on the Rossoneri’s radar for several years now, and this summer could be the perfect opportunity. Indeed, the relations with Arsenal are very good and the cost of the operation is reasonable.
The left-back has a price tag of around €15m, given his contract will expire next year, and Igli Tare has already been in London to work on the matter. Hernandez’s departure appears to be almost nailed on, so it’s crucial for the Rossoneri to find their new starter on the left.
The only obstacle is the salary, which is around €5m per season currently, but the feeling is that a compromise can be reached here. Zinchenko, after all, could become the second Ukrainian to wear the Milan shirt after Andriy Shevchenko.
