Arsenal are still searching for transfers as the page turns on last season to the next with the release of the 2025/26 Premier League schedule. The Gunners have a lot of work ahead of them this summer as they look to establish a squad ready to compete for the Premier League title.
The Gunners need to strengthen in a number of areas, and there has been plenty of speculation surrounding their striker search. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are said to have reached an agreement on personal terms with Benjamin Sesko as they continue to push for a deal with RB Leipzig. SportBILD claim the Gunners have now taken the next step towards striking a deal, agreeing on a wage structure with the player.
The Gunners still haven’t reached a deal with Leipzig, though, and the same report claims the fee will be between £68.4m and £85.5m. That’s a huge range, though, and it’s unclear how much Arsenal are willing to pay, given they are yet to submit a formal bid. Still, this deal does look like one that is likely to be wrapped up eventually.
Arsenal are still in contract talks with Thomas Partey but they are yet to reach an agreement after weeks of talks. The Gunners are said to want to give Partey a new short-term deal ahead of his contract officially expiring at the end of this month, but an agreement has not been forthcoming.
According to Fotomac, Partey has been offered to Fenerbahce in the meantime, and it’s reported that Jose Mourinho must decide whether to pull the trigger on the deal, which would be a free transfer. This could be a case of Partey’s agent sounding out a rival deal to get Arsenal to up their offer, but in any case, it does add urgency for the Gunners as they look to keep an experienced and versatile player around for another season. Failure to do so would likely cost Arsenal big money, given they would need to find a replacement who is just as steady and reliable as Partey. The Gunners are already spending around £53million to sign Martin Zubimendi due to Jorginho’s departure
Riccardo Calafiori has been speaking amid some talk he could leave the club after one season, and it seems he has no interest of moving on any time soon. That shouldn’t come as any surprise given Arsenal spent big money to sign the Italian defender only last summer.
Calafiori said, as cited by The Sun: “At Arsenal, I’m very happy. I always feel good in any position I play in order to help the team. What was missing last season was consistency and I’ll look to find that consistency next season. When I felt good, I always played and made a difference in the team. So the goal next season is to be in form for the whole season.”
