21-year-old forward Julian Reese, the brother of WNBA star Angel Reese, will join the Los Angeles Lakers’ Summer League team this summer.The Los Angeles Lakers made an intriguing move by signing Maryland’s undrafted forward Julian Reese to their Summer League roster.The 21-year-old is the brother of WNBA star Angel Reese, who also shared a post congratulating him on the opportunity.
Julian Reese spent four years at Maryland before going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Reese averaged nearly a double-double this past season, putting up 13.5 points and 9 rebounds per game, while also adding 1.1 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.Reese joins a Lakers Summer League roster expected to include Bronny James and, most likely, Dalton Knecht. The team will play its first game on July 10 against the Mavericks and No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg, and will also face the Celtics, Clippers, and Pelicans.
