Samuele Ricci to AC Milan is a done deal, as a transfer fee has been agreed with Torino, while the medical tests will take place next week.
It was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto earlier this afternoon that Milan have reached an agreement with Torino for Ricci’s transfer. The Rossoneri will pay €23m, plus an additional €2m in bonuses, and the medical tests are scheduled for next week.
The 23-year-old is a player that Milan have wanted for a long time, viewing him as the perfect solution for the midfield even before Igli Tare and Max Allegri joined. To get the deal over the line at such good figures is thus great news.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Ricci’s salary will be well within Milan’s parameters as he should earn around €2.5m plus bonuses per year. The transfer fee, meanwhile, will be spread out over a five-year contract.
As for the midfielder’s role in the team, the report states that Allegri sees him as a classic No.6 in a three-man midfield. He has the defensive instincts that Milan lacked this past season, as shown at Torino, and his passing ability is impressive too.
Ricci is currently on vacation but will return to Italy for the medical tests. He should thus become the Rossoneri’s first signing of the summer, as Luka Modric has decided to complete the Club World Cup before undergoing his medical tests.
