Irritation is growing inside the walls of Casa Milan as Club Brugge still have not responded to the offer for Ardon Jashari.
It was reported by Sky and other sources that there should be a response from Club Brugge to the Rossoneri’s latest offer for Jashari, one totalling €38m, by Tuesday at the latest. However, it is clear from the lack of news that this response has not been forthcoming.
According to the latest from Matteo Moretto on his YouTube channel, there has been ‘no progress’ on the Jashari front. Milan were expecting a response from Club Brugge early this week, but nothing has arrived yet.
“The news on Jashari is that there’s no news. It’s paradoxical, but the fact that Club Brugge isn’t giving a response to Milan, who were expecting a yes or no between Monday and Tuesday, is creating tension and nervousness within the Milan world, within the Milan management,” he said.
“Club Brugge are stalling, and this is worrying Milan, who were expecting a response to their last written offer of €32.5m plus bonuses. But Club Brugge are asking for a fixed base of €35m plus bonuses to reach €40m.
“Milan have initiated a strategy, taking full advantage of Jashari’s desire, as he has communicated to Club Brugge his desire to join Milan. But you know that Club Brugge is a very difficult club to negotiate with, a very difficult club.
“We’ll see if this type of strategy actually pays off, but for now, Club Brugge’s dead silence is creating great tension and nervousness within the Milan world.”
Now, we must see just how long the Rossoneri directors are willing to wait before moving onto the next target, given that signing another quality midfielder seems to be a priority.
Fabrizio Romano adds: “Club Brugge are still not giving green light to AC Milan final €38m package bid for Ardon Jashari. AC Milan have been waiting for 10 days with the situation becoming tense. Brugge insist other clubs could still match €40m fixed asking price.”
