Spartak Moscow have opened talks with AC Milan and they could secure a double deal involving two outcasts, a journalist has claimed.
According to the latest from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Spartak Moscow are in contact with Milan over the potential signing of Yacine Adli and, above all, Emerson Royal. The Brazilian full-back is considering the Russian club’s proposal at present.
It is clear that neither player is considered a part of the first-team plans under Massimiliano Allegri. The former has been told to only report for training on July 14 with Milan Futuro, while the latter was close to leaving even back in January when he had only been at the club for a few months.
Milan do not need a huge transfer fee to break even on Adli given he cost less than €10m, which is the good news, but finding a destination that suits all parties might be easier said than done. It was recently reported that he had turned down Spartak, but Longo suggests ongoing talks.
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Emerson Royal was in talks over a return to his former club Real Betis, having been strongly linked with Galatasaray in the winter mercato. However, the news on that front went quiet.
