Arsenal are in full swing with regards to their summer transfer activity, having signed a number of players and with more in the pipeline.
Arsenal have landed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard in recent weeks.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has declared “here we go” on another deal, with an “exciting” attacker now set to link up with the Gunners.
On Thursday night, Romano reported that Arsenal have struck a deal with Chelsea for Noni Madueke.
The transfer insider said the Gunners have agreed a deal “in excess of £50million with add-ons included” for the England international.
Chelsea have now given Arsenal the green light and, with Madueke having agreed personal terms with the Gunners a few days ago, the move is now set to be completed.
Arsenal have been linked with Madueke since he was a teenager coming through the ranks at PSV Eindhoven.
As far back as January 2020, it was reported that Arsenal were keen on Madueke, who was 17 at the time and had not long made his PSV debut.
Links between Arsenal and Madueke resurfaced in 2021 and, though he ended up joining Chelsea in 2023, he is not one of Enzo Maresca’s top choices in attack.
As a result, Chelsea have decided to move him on, and Arteta has now got his man.
And Madueke, who has been described as “really dynamic”, “exciting” and “box office”, is not expected to be the last big signing at N5.
Arsenal are also currently in contact with Eberechi Eze and his agents, with the player seemingly keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
It remains to be seen what happens with Viktor Gyokeres, however, amid reports suggesting talks between Arsenal and Sporting CP are stalling.
