Arsenal are still in contact with the agent of Eberechi Eze, but they are yet to enter talks with Crystal Palace, according to Fabrizio Romano, writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter.
Eze could be on the move in the summer transfer window, with GIVEMESPORT sources confirming that he has a release clause of around £60m in his Crystal Palace contract. Considering the performances he’s displayed during his time with the Eagles, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see a club activate this before the end of the window.
Arsenal are one of the sides who are showing an interest in the England international, but their focus is currently on closing deals for other targets. Romano has confirmed that Arsenal are set to sign Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera after they’ve secured the signatures of Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, who are also close to joining the club.
Writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano has confirmed that talks are continuing between Arsenal and the agent of Eze. The respected reporter hints that we might see the Gunners enter talks with Crystal Palace after completing deals to sign Madueke and Gyokeres…
Eze has the match-winning ability that would make him a smart signing for Arsenal, but it will be interesting to see where he plays if he were to join the Gunners this summer. The England star is predominantly an attacking midfielder, meaning he will likely be competing with Martin Odegaard for a place in the starting XI, or he could also be deployed on the left-hand side, a position he’s played before during his time at Crystal Palace.
