Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein was loan at Real Valladolid last season and has returned to the Emirates to sort out his future.
The Estonia international kept five clean sheets and conceded 70 goals from 32 games for Real Valladolid, who were relegated from La Liga. His performances didn’t go unnoticed as Sevilla have set their sights on him.
At the weekend, El Correo de Andalucia reported Sevilla have identified the Arsenal player as a target.
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC now report Sevilla sporting director Antonio Cordón has identified the 23-year-old as his favourite target.
Last season, Ørjan Nyland was the No.1 for the Andalusian club, with Álvaro Fernández as his backup. The latter hasn’t convinced Sevilla, who are looking for a new stopper to provide cover and competition to the Norwegian.
Cordón is focused on the Arsenal player, who has a year left on his contract. The outlet says he’s taken the La Liga side’s interest with ‘great enthusiasm and is willing to accept the offer’. There’s no clarity on what sort of proposal Sevilla are willing to make.
The report further adds Hein could arrive on loan or on a free transfer by terminating his contract with the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta and his side have to make a decision on Hein’s future.
