AC Milan will give a big number to Pietro Terracciano after he has signed a two year deal with the club this evening.
By all accounts, the move for Terracciano is just waiting to be announced. The goalkeeper arrived at Casa Milan on Wednesday evening to complete the formalities of his deal, and despite Marco Sportiello’s future yet to be completed, the deal can go through shortly.
In fact, Peppe Di Stefano told Sky Sport (via MilanNews) that he has signed a deal to become the Rossoneri’s new second-choice goalkeeper, and will be available for Massimiliano Allegri as early as tomorrow for training.
Of course, the next question to answer regards his number. As a goalkeeper, the options, traditionally, are quite limited. We know that he is not going to be given the No.9, for example.
Di Stefano actually states that he will be given the number 1 shirt, though, which is a bit of a shock, considering that is normally the primary goalkeeper number. In fact, the shirt number has not been worn since 2022/23 when Ciprian Tatarusanu wore it.
The shirt was passed around quite heavily in the 2000s, though the most iconic to wear the number would have to be Dida.
