There have been some developments on the Marc Pubill front, as the medical checks that AC Milan held went positively.
Reports emerged on Friday evening claiming that Milan had sent members of their medical team to Barcelona to carry out assessments on the condition of Pubill’s knee. It certainly feels like a precursor to a formal move for the Almeria full-back, and now more news has come.
Pubill tests positive
Fabrizio Romano has given the following update on X: “AC Milan are set to discuss terms with Almeria and Marc Pubill’s camp over potential transfer for the Spanish right back.
“Wolves want Pubill, ready to close deal… but Marc keeps waiting for AC Milan. Decision up to Milan after positive initial medical check done today.”
He adds: “Milan are ready to start negotiations with Almeria and Marc Pubill’s agents for a possible transfer of the Spanish right-back. Wolves want Pubill and are ready to close the deal… but Marc continues to wait for Milan. The decision is up to Milan after the first positive medical tests carried out today.”
Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that Milan went to Spain for a preliminary check-up on Pubill, with positive results regarding his condition. He remains on the wish list to strengthen the right flank, especially with Guela Doue currently being deemed too expensive.
Pubill underwent some routine tests in Barcelona, with Almeria’s consent and in the presence of his entourage. The Rossoneri conducted a preliminary check-up to ensure there were no critical issues with his knee.
The results were positive: the player showed no problems and is in good condition. This was a simple monitoring test, not a formal medical, but it was useful for Milan to decide whether or not to proceed with the deal.
