Besiktas have come forward and expressed an interest in signing Emerson Royal from AC Milan, according to reports.
Milan left for their preseason tour of the Asia-Pacific region over the weekend, where they will play Arsenal, Liverpool and Perth Glory in friendly matches. A 26-man squad for the games was named, and the likes of Emerson Royal and Tommaso Pobega among those missing.
Pobega is expected to complete a transfer to Bologna soon, while the exclusion of the Brazilian full-back makes it very clear that he is not a part of the plans. He hasn’t been since the winter window in truth, when it is believed he was on the verge of joining Galatasaray before getting injured.
However, Emerson might just get a second opportunity to move to Turkey, if the latest rumours are to be believed.
Fabrizio Romano‘s latest update reads as follows: “Understand Besiktas are set to offer loan deal with buy option clause for Emerson Royal. Talks to follow with AC Milan after player gave initial green light to the move.”
Meanwhile, his colleague Matteo Moretto writes: “Initial contacts for Emerson Royal with Beşiktaş. Possible formula: loan with option to buy. No negotiations between clubs yet, but initial request for information.”
