Arsenal are confident of reaching a full agreement to sign Crystal Palace superstar Eberechi Eze this summer, FootballTransfers has been informed.
The England international has been on Arsenal’s radar for several months and Mikel Arteta’s side are currently locked in advanced negotiations with Crystal Palace as they look to finalise a deal.
In fact, we have been told that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is prepared to go “all in” for the 27-year-old.
Eze’s current contract at Crystal Palace includes a €77.8 million (£68m) release clause, although Arsenal are likely to pay this fee in instalments.
The Gunners have agreed to pay an initial €34.3m (£30m) for the England midfielder and discussions between the two clubs are now centred around the payment structure of remaining €43.5m (£38m). We understand that Crystal Palace want the entire fee paid within two years.
Eze has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal and he has informed Palace of his desire to complete a move to the Emirates Stadium before the end of the 2025 summer transfer window.
However, he remains on good terms with the Eagles and he will not make things difficult for his current employers.
The England star is expected to be available for Palace’s upcoming pre-season friendly against Augsburg, but Arsenal are increasingly confident that he will move to north London this summer.
FootballTransfers has also been informed that Arsenal aren’t rushing to finalise the deal as they understand that Crystal Palace want to bring in a replacement before letting Eze depart.
Eze enjoyed the best season of his career last term, notching 25 goal contributions in 43 games as Crystal Palace won their first ever major trophy, and Arsenal are eager to make him their seventh signing of the 2025 summer transfer window.
The north London giants have already confirmed the arrivals of Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga for a combined price of €157.8m, while they have reached a total agreement to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The Sweden international will sign a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium and he is expected to undergo his medical on Saturday.
