As expected, Musah has been getting some playing time during the pre-season. However, with Luka Modric joining the team shortly and another midfielder potentially arriving as well (Jashari, perhaps), it’s clear that the American will drop down the pecking order.
A move elsewhere might be on the cards, as such, and rumours could once again take off after he came close to joining Napoli at the start of the summer. In fact, the Partenopei could consider a new attempt for Musah.
Contrary to the aforementioned report, Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com is stating that contacts haven’t been picked up by Milan and Napoli. It doesn’t look like that will happen either, with Musah’s entourage exploring the idea of a Premier League move.
Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Wolves have enquired about the situation in the past, but there is no concrete interest from any of them. Or at the very least, none of taken the decisive step which is opening talks with Milan and/or Musah.
The mercato is still long, but as the report concludes, Milan might have to reconsider their €30m valuation in order to push a sale through this summer. Spain and France are also possible destinations for the 22-year-old.
