There has been an appreciation for Musah in Naples for almost a year now. Since arriving, Antonio Conte has looked to see if a move was possible and it seems he could try again in the next few weeks, after an earlier attempt this summer.
Last summer, it was the will of Milan to keep him. This summer, it was a case of finances and other players. Now, though, it could unlock.
The Neapolitan branch of La Repubblica states that this much could come true, as MilanPress relays. After a mercato meeting between Aurelio De Laurentiis, Antonio Conte and Giovanni Manna, the name of Musah was brought up again.
With it, so did the possibility of making a new bid, which would see him become their seventh signing of the summer mercato so far. Previously, the move failed due to the situation with Anguissa. However, Conte believes the two can co-exist.
In this plan, Musah would be the ‘perfect backup’ for the midfielder, and could offer him some solidity when rotating. It is unlikely that a price change occurs, but, new talks could begin.
