Ardon Jashari was able to leave Brugge but not in a definitive manner as he would like, and certainly not to come to Milan: the Swiss midfielder, the subject of an endless transfer saga featuring Milan, was in Macedonia in recent hours to celebrate his brother’s wedding.
Between this celebration and his continued refusal to play, the player will miss his third consecutive official match with the Belgians today. With the Rossoneri returning from their tour, a decision will be made in the coming hours.
The negotiation between Milan and Club Brugge, as Corriere dello Sport recalls this morning, is taking on (if it hasn’t already taken on) exhausting characteristics. For this reason, at Casa Milan, faced with the wall stubbornly erected by the Belgian club, it is deemed necessary to set a definitive deadline after which to abandon the move. In this sense, a summit is scheduled for Monday in the city between Giorgio Furlani, Massimiliano Allegri, and Igli Tare. A decision will be made on how to proceed with one of the main targets of the transfer window, without excluding the possibility of one last attempt with the flavor of a last-ditch effort. If the door is once again slammed shut, the funds allocated by Milan will be redistributed to other targets.
Meanwhile, Ardon Jashari’s situation is becoming an example to follow. In these hours, Joel Ordonez, Ecuadorian center-back and another key player in coach Hayen’s team, has also declared that he no longer wants to play for Club Brugge and will be left out of the starting lineup so as not to jeopardize a transfer to Marseille in France. The Belgian coach did not take it well: “His move is not a smart one. But we have to solve the problems we have. Joel has been having issues with his hamstring for a while. And on top of that, he’s thinking about a transfer. The club informed me.”
Returning to Jashari, many other moves for Milan depend on this negotiation, as they still definitely need to finalize a right-back and a center-forward. Depending on the outcome of the deal for the Swiss player, the available budget will also be reshaped.
