Liverpool on Friday confirmed that Isaac Mabaya has completed a loan move to Wigan Athletic for the 2025–2026 season.

In a post on their website, the Reds confirmed that Mabaya has joined the League One side as he seeks to gain more senior experience.

Mabaya, who is capable of playing in defence and midfield, made his competitive Liverpool debut earlier this year in the Emirates FA Cup clash with Plymouth Argyle.

The 20‑year‑old has also been named on the bench on two occasions for Arne Slot’s men.

Meanwhile, in another development, Arsenal could soon part ways with out‑of‑favour players Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to SunSport, Fulham are keen on taking Nelson back on loan at Craven Cottage this season.

Fulham are also interested in signing Zinchenko, who has fallen down the pecking order in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
