Arsenal are now pushing to snap up Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, and one Gunners man could head in the opposite direction.
Kai Havertz has suffered a knee injury and Arsenal are still waiting for the full verdict on the German’s potential lay-off.
Arsenal fans feared transfer business was over earlier this week, as Leandro Trossard was handed a pay rise at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Arsenal are now closing in on signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a stunning hijack on Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs were closing in on Eze, but the Gunners have swooped in and now look set to win the race in a deal worth over £60million.
Eze started his footballing career in the Arsenal youth ranks, but was let go at the age of just 13.
Now seemingly heading back to Arsenal some 14 years later, Eze will finally have the chance to play Champions League football with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal will be busy thrashing out a deal with Palace for Eze’s signature, but may also be discussing a separate deal with the Eagles.
The Independent report that Arsenal may now ‘suggest’ that defender Jakub Kiwior heads to Palace as Eze heads to North London.
The deals would likely be separate rather than a part-exchange, but Kiwior to Palace could accelerate thanks to the Eze deal.
Kiwior has been linked to Porto, but he could yet stay in London by joining Palace before the summer transfer deadline.
The Pole appears to be dropping down the Arsenal pecking order and wasn’t even on the bench to face Manchester United on Sunday.
Kiwior hails from Tychy in Poland, but really emerged as a top talent with Italian side Spezia.
Arsenal signed Kiwior from Spezia for around £21m in January 2023, having been impressed with his displays in Serie A.
TBR Football understands that Kiwior would be interested in returning to Italy if he does leave Arsenal.
AC Milan and Juventus are both interested in Kiwior, though first-team football will be the key for the defender in his next move.
Palace could now offer another option to Kiwior, who is attracting plenty of interest as the summer transfer window draws ever closer.
