Report: Eberechi Eze to Arsenal may be doomed…see more

Sometimes the grass is not always greener – especially when leaving Crystal Palace. Oliver Glaser has won two trophies in three months and yet the best players want to jump ship.

Ebereche Eze is off to Arsenal, Marc Guehi is patiently waiting for Liverpool to come knocking and Adam Wharton is linked with Manchester United.

But history tells us that not every Palace star who chases brighter lights finds glory. Often, they end up with their tails between their legs.

Wilfried Zaha is the prime example. The most dazzling winger in the Premier League failed to cut it at Old Tafford.

Then there’s Yannick Bolasie, another winger blessed with electric pace and flair, who floundered after joining Everton, proving that raw talent doesn’t always translate to success elsewhere.

Selhurst Park may not have the glitz of London’s top clubs or the silverware-laden history of the Premier League giants, but it has something priceless: a stage where its stars shine.

And sometimes, staying put can be more rewarding than chasing a dream that turns into a nightmare.

Liverpool can blame Isak

Liverpool have every right to blame Alexander Isak if they slip up on Monday night.

St James’ Park will be buzzing like never before, a cauldron ready to boil over.

The Magpies won’t let the visiting vultures snatch anything – be it precious points or a prolific striker.
