Following what was supposed to be two easy games, AC Milan will enter a decidedly more difficult period, with the likes of Atalanta, Roma and Inter on the cards.
A couple of weeks ago, we wrote an article about how two ‘must-wins’ were coming up for Milan, i.e. the ‘easy games’ against Fiorentina and Pisa. However, while the Rossoneri just about managed win the first one, they only got a draw against Pisa last night.
Seeing as they dominated the first half and could have scored more than one goal, Milan have themselves the blame for not getting the job done. Injuries can be partly blamed, of course, but a win should have been achieved even with such a thin squad.
Five tough games await
As said, the next month or so will be a lot more difficult for Massimiliano Allegri and his men, which is also why clinching six points against Fiorentina and Pisa was so important. In any case, the schedule are as follows:
- Atalanta-Milan: Tuesday, October 28, 20:45
- Milan-Roma: Sunday, November 2, 20:45
- Parma-Milan: Saturday, November 8, 20:45
- Inter-Milan: Sunday, November 23. 20:45
- Milan-Lazio: Saturday, November 29, 20:45
Having Parma in the middle could prove to be a crucial confidence boost, but it’s clear that Milan will have to fight hard to come away with a lot of points. Especially if many players were to remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Ardon Jashari could reportedly be back for the Parma clash, while the goal seems to be to have Pervis Estupinan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek back for Atalanta or Roma. Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic, meanwhile, are aiming for the derby.
