It’s been a busy international break for Chelsea already and it’s hardly even begun. Whilst Mauricio Pochettino might well be hoping for a quiet fortnight to continue working with his squad and recovering players it has kicked off like a train on fire.
The Blues have already seen Axel Disasi called up for the France national team but withdraw less than a day later due to an injury scare, here we go again. Early reports from France don’t appear to be too worrying though with the suggestion that it is just a precaution at this stage.
Whilst Disasi is dealt a minor setback, fellow Frenchman Christopher Nkunku provided the good news of the day as he updated fans on his progress online. The 25-year-old is now working even harder in the gym and appears to be recovering well. Fans are certainly looking forward to his return later this year.
Meanwhile it is said that talks over a new sponsor continue for the long-run with Riyadh Air still a potential option to take over from Infinite Athlete at the end of this season.
In some transfer news it is said that Trevoh Chalobah is still on the radar for Bayern Munich after his deadline day move to Germany fell through. For the latest on all of this and much more, stick around with us for the rest of the day.
