Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano insists Jude Bellingham’s success hasn’t surprised him.
Bellingham is now Real’s top scorer playing from midfield.
Valdano said: “He didn’t surprise me. In any case, I was surprised by his scoring level, which doesn’t have to be sustained over time, but he is a player of superior intelligence.
“There are no empty spaces that he doesn’t discover, and he also has a field of action very very big, he has prominence practically in the entire field.”
On Real this season, Valdano also said: “Now what we have to hope for is that one of the talents that comes out of the youth team steps into the first team, because since Carvajal we haven’t seen anyone stable.”
