According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester City could pocket a chunk of the fee Liverpool could pay for Leroy Sane.
The German attacker has been linked with a move to the Reds as he has been tipped to be Mohamed Salah’s successor.
Sane moved to Bayern for £44million in 2020 and it has been claimed that the Citizens installed a 10% sell-on clause in the deal.
The Mirror claimed that Liverpool are plotting a record-breaking move for the 27-year-old.
Liverpool fans have their say on Leroy Sane reports
Liverpool supporters are split over the rumours that Bayern Munich attacker Leroy Sane is being lined up as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Salah has faced increased speculation over his future following Al-Ittihad’s pursuit of his signature in the summer. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had already lured Fabinho from Anfield in a £40m deal before making a late transfer market dash to bring the 31-year-old Egyptian to the Saudi Pro League with a eye-watering fee in the region of £150m.
As a result of the increased speculation, Jurgen Klopp’s side are being linked with a number of possible replacements for the former AS Roma and Chelsea attacker. And according to the Mirror, Liverpool are plotting a club-record bid for Sane.
