Manchester City are reportedly ‘huge fans’ of Jamal Musiala, who Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested in signing.
Soccerhuz.com claim that Pep Guardiola’s side are big admirers of the Bayern Munich superstar amid growing concerns that Musiala could leave Germany next year.
Although the report states that Bayern are confident that Musiala will sign a new contract, interest from the likes of Liverpool and now City could change things for the 20-year-old.
The attacking midfielder is regarded by many as one of the best youngsters in world football and a player who could define the new generation of superstars currently plying their trade with Europe’s elite.
Yet for Liverpool, City’s interest in Musiala could come as a big blow for the Reds, with Jurgen Klopp seemingly keen on bringing the youngster to Anfield.
Indeed, Musiala would be a sensational addition for Liverpool’s squad, though given City’s wealth and the influence of Guardiola, it will be hard for the Reds to beat the Manchester giants to the Bayern star.
Musiala is a once-in-a-generation player that every club in the world would kill to have on their books, and for Liverpool, seeing the youngster head to City would be a blow.
The Manchester giants are no strangers to beating Liverpool to transfer targets, yet Musiala could be the pick of the bunch if Guardiola’s side get their way.
The battle for Musiala will be a great one, though, if the 20-year-old decides to leave, and Liverpool must ensure they are the side who wins this war in the next 12 months.
