Welcome to football.london ‘s live coverage of Mauricio Pochettino’s press conference. The Blues boss faces the media to preview Chelsea’s match with Brentford on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.
Thhe 51-year-old head coach will hope his side can continue their unbeaten run despite letting a two-goal lead slip against the Gunners, and hope another weeks sees more of his squad continue towards full fitness. Reece James made his return to action last weekend from the bench, while Nicolas Jackson was also deemed only fit enough to play a smaller part following an operation on his wrist.
Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile also were among the substitutes as they returned from injury and will be hoping to press their claim for a spot in the starting lineup. The weekend will still be long too soon for Christopher Nkunku, but the Frenchman has been spotted in his training kit around Cobham.
Pochettino will be asked about all that and more ahead of taking on their west London rivals. Join Scott Trotter for all of the latest updates from Chelsea’s training ground below
