The German attacker, who’s now 24, cemented his name in Blues folklore after scoring the winning goal in a Champions League final. However, his career never really took off at Stamford Bridge like most expected.
He scored 32 goals in 139 Chelsea appearances before being sold to rivals Arsenal in the summer.
It’s been really impressive to watch Palmer, who only turned 21 in May, arrive at Chelsea with such authority.
The left-footed attacking midfielder is still relatively inexperienced when it comes to senior football, but you wouldn’t know it with the way he carries himself on the pitch.
He’s the new penalty taker with three converted spot-kicks so far. A lot of the team’s best attacks comes through him , too.
We can’t wait to watch how the youngster develops in the months ahead when he’s playing week in week out. There’s no way he’s being dropped from Pochettino’s starting XI anytime soon.
