Spanish outlet Cadena SER have claimed that Real Madrid are no longer prioritising a potential transfer of Mbappe, despite being strongly linked with the French forward in the past. With Vinicius Jr, and Rodrygo at the club and Brazilian wonderkid Endrick set to join them, Los Blancos have turned their attention elsewhere.
This has opened the door for other top teams to enter the race for Mbappe’s signature and L’Equipe have previously stated that Liverpool are in the running to sign him. Their interest dates back to 2017, but one issue for Jurgen Klopp’s side are the finances involved.
Spanish reports have stated that Mbappe is demanding a yearly wage of £30.5million after tax and a signing bonus of around £87m on top of any fee that PSG could take for him.
