Since 2017, shortly after becoming a regular in the Liverpool first team, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been one of the biggest faces in the world of Association (not American) Football for Under Armor. The Scouser has worn Under Armor boots essentially his entire senior team career, and has been featured in commercials around the world.
For those looking closely as Liverpool took on Manchester City on Saturday, they could see something different about the playmaking right back. Rather than his typical Under Armor boots, he was wearing some fresh Adidas Predators with the full tongues.
On Sunday, Alexander-Arnold released a video announcing he had switched allegiances to the German-based Adidas. In the video, Trent describes wearing the old school predators growing up. He also cites the infamous Istanbul Champions League final as one of his inspirational moments, in which club legend Steven Gerrard wears the original Predators as he willed his side to victory.
According to the Daily Mail, the deal is supposedly worth a whopping £26 million. Trent Alexander-Arnold joins Jude Bellingham and Pedri as the fresh young faces of Adidas as they begin to rollout the newest generation of the Predator boots in honor of the 30th anniversary of the first iteration.
