Live press conference with Jurgen Klopp: latest on Joel Matip, injuries at Liverpool, and the new manager of Sheffield United

Jurgen Klopp will face the media at 1.30pm in the latest Liverpool press conference. The Reds boss and forward will look ahead to tomorrow’s Premier League clash at Sheffield United.

An injury update on Joel Matip is expected after the centre-back picked up a knee injury in the dramatic win over Fulham on Sunday

The Reds looked set to drop points when they trailed 3-2 going into the final stages of the game, before two late goals – including an excellent winner from Trent Alexander-Arnold – saw Liverpool earn a dramatic 4-3 success.

While Klopp’s side are flying high, their opponents on Wednesday are at a low ebb. The Blades are bottom of the Premier League table after a calamitous 5-0 loss to Burnley on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there is expected to be a new manager in the dugout for the Sheffield outfit, with Chris Wilder poised to return to replace Paul Heckingbottom.
