Liverpool extended their good Premier League form with a draw at home to leaders Arsenal on Saturday evening.

Mohamed Salah scored his 16th goal of the season as the Reds came from behind to earn an absorbing 1-1 stalemate against the Gunners and stay only a point adrift in second place.

Liverpool now head to promoted Burnley for their traditional Boxing Day encounter on Tuesday evening. And here we look ahead to the changes Jurgen Klopp could make when his team are next in action.

The injuries continue to pile up for the Reds, but a second game in 72 hours means there will nevertheless have to be rotation from Klopp at the end of what has been a very busy December.

Kostas Tsimikas joining Andy Robertson on the sidelines for the foreseeable future with a broken collarbone means Liverpool have no senior left-backs available. Joe Gomez is favourite to fill in after doing so for much of the game against Arsenal, with young Luke Chambers the only realistic other option. On the other flank, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been in impressive form at right-back with Conor Bradley his understudy.

Alisson Becker remains the first-choice in goal with Caoimhin Kelleher expected to feature in the League Cup semi-final next month and possibly the FA Cup. Adrian is the next in line between the sticks.

Ibrahima Konate underlined his claim to partner Virgil van Dijk regularly at centre-back with a fine showing on Saturday, and is ahead of Academy graduate Jarell Quansah. Joel Matip is out for the season.

There won’t be any change in terms of availability in midfield, with Alexis Mac Allister still alongside Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic on the sidelines.

Wataru Endo is therefore the only fit defensive midfielder, with Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai having started to his left and right respectively against the Gunners.

Ryan Gravenberch will compete with Jones while Harvey Elliott, who was introduced in the attack on Saturday, can challenge Szoboszlai. Otherwise, teenagers Bobby Clark and James McConnell are the only other midfield alternatives.

With the Boxing Day game almost certainly too early for Diogo Jota to return, much will depend on the availability of Luis Diaz, who suffered a blow to the knee from Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka at the weekend.

Should the Colombian be fit, he will be vying with Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo for a place on the left, although the latter has started down the middle in the last two games in preference to the former. Mohamed Salah is on the right, and with Ben Doak injured, Elliott and teenager Kaide Gordon are the other possibilities available to Klopp.
