A report from Fichajes has claimed that Fulham will compete with Premier League giants Liverpool for 26-year-old Fluminense defender Nino.

Nino Rising to Prominence

Nino has been outstanding for Fluminense this year, and he has helped them win the Copa Libertadores. He also played his part as they reached the final of the Club World Cup.

Liverpool are keen on securing his signature, and it remains to be seen whether Fulham can beat them to his signing. The 26-year-old has proven himself in Brazil and will look to take the next step in his career. A move to the Premier League will be an attractive proposition for him, and the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world can be hard to turn down.

Nino will be attracted to the idea of playing for Liverpool, and it will be interesting to see if Fulham can convince him to join them instead. The West London club are in need of defensive reinforcements, and they will have to tighten up at the back if they want to finish the season strongly.

Fulham vs Liverpool for Nino

Fulham have looked quite vulnerable at the back in recent weeks. The 26-year-old Brazilian defender certainly has the quality to succeed in the Premier League, and he could help him improve defensively. Tosin Adarabioyo has recently been linked with a departure.

Similarly, Liverpool are in need of defensive depth as well. Joel Matip has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an injury, and they will have to find a quality alternative alternative. The 26-year-old Brazilian would be a solid acquisition for them, and he has the physical and technical attributes to hit the ground running in English football.

A move to Liverpool would be a major step up in his career as well, and he will look to compete for major trophies with them. Liverpool are currently on top of the Premier League, and they will be hoping to win the title.

They will need to plug the gaps in their squad to beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City to the title. Improving defensively will certainly boost Liverpool’s chances of winning major trophies, and Nino could prove to be a difference-maker for them during the second half of the season.
