Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, may soon have a lot more money to spend on transfers.

Tottenham have splashed the cash in recent transfer windows, and their spending spree is showing no signs of coming to a halt.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou could be set to see his transfer budgets rise over the coming seasons due to the work of Daniel Levy behind the scenes. Spurs have recruited incredibly well over the past few windows, and they look likely to have the finances available to continue splashing the cash.

Postecoglou has impressed since taking over Tottenham, reinventing the club to play an attacking brand of football whilst getting the very best out of every individual. Numerous players have stepped up to the mark, though summer signings have also aided his cause.

The additions of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Guglielmo Vicario have raised standards at the club, with Brennan Johnson also providing an alternative option out on the right wing.

Spurs have continued their spending spree this month as well, forking out £25million to acquire the services of Radu Dragusin from Genoa and signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig on a loan-to-buy deal.

The new signings have improved Tottenham’s squad depth markedly whilst also allowing Postecoglou to deal with his growing list of injury problems in north London, and further signings should not be ruled out given their strong financial position.

According to The Athletic, in the 2021/22 campaign, Spurs earned £106m in matchday revenue – the second-most in the Premier League behind Manchester United – which is a significant increase on their figures whilst at White Hart Lane.

Their figures for last season are expected to be one of the very best in the business and it ‘could push’ the £500m mark. The new stadium has been the catalyst for the new-found revenue, with concerts and other sporting events being hosted at the venue. Beyonce played five nights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last summer, with Spurs receiving an eight-figure sum for hosting the pop superstar- and that fee will not be included in the soon-to-be-released accounts.

With more money being raised, Spurs’ spending in the transfer windows is likely to increase further. Postecoglou’s side are likely to be in the market for a new No. 9 in the future following the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich during the summer. Brentford star Ivan Toney is among those linked with a move to Spurs, though Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring his situation closely and an expensive bidding war could be set to break out for the England international.
