Liverpool is ‘in talks’ for a deal that Jürgen Klopp had previously rejected, suggesting that a transfer may occur shortly.

Latest Liverpool news: Jürgen Klopp reportedly vetoed a decision from the Anfield board back in 2018 but his mind has been changed, while a late move is on the cards.

Liverpool returns to action on Wednesday night with a place at Wembley up for grabs in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Fulham. There is speculation over another behind-the-scenes documentary at Anfield, despite a previous rejection from Jürgen Klopp, while a Liverpool youngster could secure a loan move this week. Here’s your round-up of the latest Liverpool news.

The Reds could be the latest Premier League team to feature in a behind-the-scenes documentary, reports Bloomberg. The likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City have all featured as part of Amazon’s’ All or Nothing series but Klopp turned down interest from the company back in 2018.

The Liverpool boss was said to be against letting cameras in on his space and felt behaviors would change when players are being filmed. It was reported at the time that Liverpool’s FSG owners had given the green light to Amazon’s approach.

Klopp’s decision came off the back of the fly-on-the-wall Being: Liverpool show in 2012, after Brendan Rodgers had taken over as manager. The show, which followed Liverpool on its pre-season tour of the US, attracted criticism from some supporters. Klopp said in 2019 that he would ‘quit’ if the Reds tried something similar again.

But the Reds boss is said to be ‘supportive’ of the proposal now with Liverpool reportedly in talks with multiple different media organisations about a potential documentary. Netflix and Disney have also commissioned their own series on different sports clubs in the past.

Calvin Ramsay set for second loan

Assistant boss Pep Lijnders says Calvin Ramsay could leave Liverpool on loan again before the transfer window shuts. Ramsay had spent the first half of the season with Preston but that was cut short after he struggled for regular opportunities.

Speaking ahead of the second leg with Fulham, Lijnders confirmed there is interest in Ramsay and Nat Phillips, who has also returned after a spell with Celtic. He said: “We have to find — with the agent, with himself, with the clubs — the right decision for the player. He needs to have game time, needs to play, have a lot of success.

“That’s why I like the move of Fábio [Carvalho], for example. He plays a lot, is straight away decisive — together with Tyler [Morton]. Matt Newberry, our head of loans, he’s full of business this winter. He needs a holiday after this for sure!

“These boys all have potential, otherwise they would not be with us. But they need as well the right pathway. A good loan can do wonders.” Ramsay has made two appearances for Liverpool since joining from Aberdeen in 2022.
